|  A Childhood Dream
Born in Chicoutimi (Quebec) in 1947, Yvon Langlois soon realised he was attracted by the music. He began playing the guitar in his teenage years to accompany social dancing , especially in his native region.
At the age of 30, Mr Langlois had to stop his career as a young musician to become an insurance agent, music being incompatible with his new occupation.
Health Problems
In 1985, serious health problems put an end to his career as an insurance agent. His physician strongly advised him to go back to what he enjoyed the most,his own famely and, his favorite instrument.
Using the method of the Royal Conservatory ( of the University of Toronto ), Mr Langlois worked by himself for 5 to 7 hours a day. He was soon ready to perform in Churches, at receptions and conferences, and for local TV station.
Any Styles
Yvon Langlois became a competent, enthusiastic guitar teacher, attracting more and more talented students.He started to adapt pop tunes to enciant and classical music, as well as Spanish style.
In March 1995, 10 years after his major turning point in his life, the guitarist chose the beautifull city of Vancouver to launch his carreer as a guitarist.
A Passionate Creator
A passionate, sensitive creator, Yvon Langlois is a fine example of a self-tauch man, who constantly strives to expand the limits of his magnificent musical talents. He is also a composer and he enjoys singning. Yvon is now focussing on jazz, while displaying his masterful technique. This superb technique matches the splendor of his new inspirational environment, the West Coast of Canada.
